Teleios Association

The second branch of Attilla’s ministry is the Teleios Association. Its goal is to improve the quality of life for socially disadvantaged and marginalized individuals (large families, abandoned children, and other disadvantaged groups) by conducting several projects aimed at providing various needs for the socially excluded that otherwise would be unable to provide for themselves. The association can be viewed from two different angles: its ministries and its businesses. In order to sustain the ministry effort, Teleios started three different business endeavors to generate revenue for ministry expenses. Our prayer is that God would draw near to all those involved in Teleios, so that the love of Jesus may increase and his light may shine.

TELEIOS MINISTRIES

New Life Children’s Home

The “New Life” children’s home operates as a “big family” located in the village of Periș. In early 2022, a married couple moved into the house, where they live and raise 10 children as a family.

Baby Program

Teleios has drawn attention to the condition of infants born into families facing severe financial hardship. In the local area, there are many families for whom the arrival of a newborn presents a significant challenge. Milk powder and diapers are very expensive, and many families cannot afford to purchase these products. The baby program aims to purchase diapers, formula, wet wipes, and baby bottles for families who face significant financial barriers to obtaining these products for their newborns.

Afterschool

The church in Apalina is also used to run an afterschool program for the children in the community. Around 50 children from Apalina attend the afterschool program after their regular school hours. In the afterschool program, the children receive a hot meal, a main course, and a dessert. After the meal, with the assistance of three teachers, the children complete their homework and receive help in subjects where they are facing difficulties.

Food Bank

Especially during the winter months, Teleios prepares food packages for more than 300 families. These packages are intended to assist individuals and families without a stable source of income. Some of these people may work during the summer months but have no income during the difficult winter months, leaving them with no food to put on the table.

TELEIOS BUSINESSES

Secondhand Shop

Situated next door to the Children’s Home is a charitable store owned by Teleios where they sell used clothes, furniture, household items, etc. The earnings from the Secondhand Shop are used to pay for the costs of the Children’s Home.

The Farm

Teleios owns 8 hectares (19-20 acres) of land which they use as a free range pig farm. These “mangalica” pigs are a Hungarian breed and typically sell quite quickly. The revenue generated from the farm is very helpful in order to sustain the ministry and we pray that God continues to grow this endeavor.

Polytunnels

Located behind the children’s home are six greenhouses that are used to grow vegetables. Lined with polyurethane, these “polytunnels” create the perfect agricultural environment from early spring to late autumn. The crops grown here are used to supply the children’s home with vegetables, the rest being sold to generate income for ministry expenses.

The Box Ministry

Teleios has multiple warehouses which are used to store donated commodities, such as furniture, clothes, and kitchen supplies, that are able to be sold in the Secondhand Shop. “The Box Ministry” is a crucial part of ensuring the operational efficiency of Teleios. And it’s a good way to get your daily workout.

Annual Market

Every year Teleios organizes a large market sale to raise money for the association. The funds raised are critical to the annual budget and help ensure that the ministry can continue effectively.
